I have noticed my local Wally World's are getting in the new 1/24 scale Chrysler Town and Country models but no 1/60 scale cars are to be found anywhere. After the few that were on clearance for $1.00 each sold out, none have replaced them. Even the tags on the pegs have no place for them. I really like these little cars and was really looking forward to the new K cars, Town and Country, Omni/Horizon and Diplomats as well as maybe new colors of some of the older castings. TRU still has one peg for them but no new ones. So where do we go to get them now??

My local Wally World just did their toy set a couple weeks ago, there are still pegs for them so some stores are still carrying them.

I haven't seen any new FC's at any of the Walmarts or ToyRUS's I frequent. I hope they start getting shipments in soon, cause I'm getting bummed out.

I haven't seen any since they discounted the older releases for $1 before christmas. Nothing new since then other than some 1/87 scale release. No new 1/60.

No new 1/64 at our walmart either and no new 1/87 either. They've had the same 5 yellow pacers since thanksgiving. :(

None around here 1/64 wise, I did find a 1/24 Gremlin and Pinto in the Clearance isle, $5.00 each, they're the grey primered diecast model kits. They still have the 1/87s and I bought the 1/24 red Mustang Sportsroof..Left a blue one.
I hope this is just a temporary lull in the 1/64 stuff, I am wanting the sub-compacts..But not at inflated prices + s&h.

Jeff

It may be just your area. I thought things looked bad here as well then right after the Holidays our Wally picked up the boxed Wild Cherries again and the new set has FC listed as well. I see that Malibu is also now in 1:64th scale range in blisters so competition is fierce everywhere you look.

Hang in there Jeff. I see some OLD's also picking up the line as well.

I'm in southern Illinois and today found a 1:24 scale Fresh Cherries Ford Maverick Stallion (Black & Red) at Marion, IL Wal-Mart. They have been out of the 1/60s for awhile. For the longest stretch the stock remained the same. Toys R Us is the only place I've seen them, but their stock has been the same for some time: Mavericks, Pintos, Gremlins, Vegas, Mustang Sportroofs, Chevettes, and Pacers. I once found two Matadors there (1 black, 1 yellow) which I consider to be very unique because I've never seen another Matador anywhere in store. The Wal-Mart in Duquoin was carrying the 1/60s but I haven't been in some time. I found a blue Maverick with black stripe and a powder blue Gremlin there (also have never seen those anywhere). Both the Marion and Carbondale "Supercenter" Wal-Marts have started carrying the 1/87 Fresh Cherries for around $2.47 each. I've seen the Pinto Cruising Wagon, Bobcat, Tempo, and Ford Escort, to name a few. I have never seen a 1/60 scale Plymouth Reliant or Chrysler T&C Wagon. Motor Max lists them in their 1/60 scale models on their site. I haven't seen them on ebay either so I assume they weren't made. I will note I did see the Chrysler Wagon 1/24 at Wal-Mart so be on the lookout for new ones in that scale. I've also noticed some models being clearanced. I picked up a Gremlin X with prepainted blue body for $5. Everything pretty much snaps together and only a few pieces need glue. I really hope the 1/60s come back. Many people may know this but Motor Max's American Graffiti line uses many of the same sculpts in this series with different paint jobs. I found some really nice ones in the 1/60 line like a 1978 Thunderbird, Mustang Boss, Impala, Caprice, and a Chevette. I would really like to see the ones in 1/87 also come out in 1/60 with color variations. They are very unique. Glad to have them. Where else can you get a die cast 1975 Matador?

And I am SO grateful for Dipsticks online store, which is the only place so far that I've seen the 1/60 Fresh Cherries Town & Country, Diplomat, Reliant, Aries, Omni and Horizon. I haven't seen any in any of the local stores, and they don't even seem to have shown up on E-Bay. The Walthers train catalog has the 1/87 vehicles and has pre-order info for the 1/87 Honda Accord and Civic, but other than that, I never seem to see ANY of the 1/87 cars either.

Walmart seems to have done some chain-wide changes in toy selection. All the stores here no longer carry plastic 1/24th-1/25th scale model kits or Testors paint, what little was left after Christmas was blown out on clearance. And that wasn't a lot in any of the half dozen or so stores I get to in my area.

any changes walmarts doing must be regional, my local walmarts are busting at the seams with FC.
