will protoform make a Ford Fusion body ? is there anybody else out there interested in seeing it or running a fusion besides myself ?
It seems the protoform charger and camery bodys are the bodys that work the best, why has'nt the mccallster cot body caught on? is it to big and boxy
or is it that nobody wasts to run it for the fear it might slow them down just alittle bit.
i am sure protoform or mccallister could come up with a ford fusion body that would work really well

McAllister has a Fusion. As for the COT, I dont think that will catch on untill you see Protoform come out with one. A lot of people are loyal to one body company, and wont race for another company.

the mccallister fusion body is the cot body with ford fusion decals

Mcallister Racing does make a ford fusion body and it is not a cot body

Look for #226 Flying "M" Stocker. Its a fusion body, but no decals.

For Fusion Decal look at #505 '07 ford fusion decals

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the last Protoform Ford body (Taurus) was a low downforce body mainly used for banked track racing. Didnt work so well on the ever-popular flat tracks of today. With Dale Epp's body molding abilities though I am sure he could whip up something that looked like a ford body with high downforce. The downside is with the COT body style any new style bodies would be a throwback to the Nascar bodies used last year.

Has any one used the mccallister fusion body and if so how did it work out?would it compete with the protoform charger or camery.
Now that nascar is the cot body will the rc body companys follow suit and develope a impala, charger, fusion, camery body (not the ones that are already made) that will work well on any track or event, or will it stay as it is now with only the two choices that works well.

a local racer here runs the mcallister fusion and he does fairly well with it. it does compete with the protofrom bodies. i think most tracks use the COT bodies for a spec class. not sure if every track will switch to the cot bodies. IMO i hope they never go to full on COT bodies

I run the McAllister FUSION body on occasion - currently running one on my Gen2.

I have/had been runnig a PF HD MC on this car - and the Fusion body mounted up w/ the mounts in the same location and had a nice rake to it.

I modify the rear quarters a little. I don't like what the cars did when the back ends started sticking out - The Full Size Cup Cars looked silly I thought. So with the quarters bobed off almost straight down the body looks really short.

Mine felt really good - and I didn't notice much difference between It and the HDMC -

You can get the nose of the Fusion really, really low...

The biggest downside to the body IMHO is it tapers narrow behind the wheels maybe a little too much, making body placement pretty critical, and there isn't much room to move the body side to side w/ the adjustable mounts and offset tplates.

After giving alot of consideration to what has been said about the different oval pan car bodys and the choices given between the protoform charger and camery and the new mccallister impala cot body,i have come to the conclussion that i will race the mccallister body in both the 13.5 and 17.5 class.
There will be no dault i will be the only one who will race the mccallister cot body in my class at my local track, and i will catch alot of slack for doing so,( which is fine with me) :) people will notice when i win the mains changes are comming even if we racers like it or not THE C.O.T. BODY will be the future in rc oval racing

This body has been out for a while. It is the mccallister ford fusion. Nice body in my opinion.

RCRacer,I purchased a couple Fusions from McAllister awhile back.I'm a Ford Freak myself. As SWTour posted the mounting is critical as it is more narrow around the wheel openings.Take your time it will come out nice. Also make your own wheel well template,as the factory ones are kinda' iffy.

Lately I've PM'd Dale Epp about a PF Fusion, but as of yet ,no reply.........
I think if made there would be plenty of guys to run the Fusion, especially coming from Protoform. Dimes to donuts, they'd work well too.

I guess the Ford guys can only hope ;) How about it Mr. Epp!:woohoo:
