View Full Version : Six Million Dollars, MAN!!! Zorro 02-08-2008, 09:09 PM http://blog.audiovideointeriors.com/208great/ Be sure to scroll down to the last pic. Hand Solo 02-09-2008, 01:23 AM The commentary to the article were more interesting than the article itself... John P 02-09-2008, 11:23 AM Isn't there a point where a certain amount of equipment is enough, and any more doesn't actually add anything to the quality? I mean, THIRTY amplifiers?! terryr 02-09-2008, 02:17 PM ...and the volume control goes to ELEVEN!! Krel 02-09-2008, 03:18 PM Just think, in a few short weeks all of those electronics will be obsolete...If they aren't already. David. scotpens 02-09-2008, 06:40 PM Actually the Nautilus is the coolest thing in the room -- and at least it was probably worth the money! Zorro 02-09-2008, 07:17 PM Actually the Nautilus is the coolest thing in the room -- and at least it was probably worth the money! Agreed. It's also the only aesthetically pleasing element in the whole setup. Admiral Nelson 02-09-2008, 09:50 PM The guy has no taste. Looks like a setup from "Cribs". No way that cost a million let alone 6. Ohio_Southpaw 02-09-2008, 10:17 PM Shows you what happens when too much money and too little brains collide. frankenstyrene 02-10-2008, 09:29 AM The comments are the best part. He could have spent the same amount of money collecting absolutely anything else -- artwork, classic cars, S&M gear, plastic models that'll never be built, empty beer cans,* etc -- and the comments would have broken down along the exact same lines: "It's wrong to spend that much on yourself/that he can even MAKE that much" [the voice of greedy, lazy jealousy]; "It's cool, but what he SHOULD have bought was __________." [voice of the slightly jealous snob] and "Right or wrong don't enter in. His money. Not yours." [voice of reasonable adults] *3 of these 5 probably describe some of your bedrooms, I'll wager. Eric K 02-10-2008, 09:46 AM What about the mean comments about his wife? Some of those people were very strange and malicious. frankenstyrene 02-10-2008, 10:07 AM I quit reading halfway down, didn't see those. Not surprised, tho; jealousy expresses itself in lots of ways. CaptFrank 02-10-2008, 01:55 PM $6,000,000 into the economy. How many people were employed to make those components? How many workers have a job because some company manufactures all those things? Instead of just hoarding his money, he spread it around. Sounds good to me. phrankenstign 02-10-2008, 04:54 PM It's too bad all he watches are poorly dubbed movies on VHS tapes of the Mexican wrestling star called the Santo recorded at EP/SLP. John P 02-11-2008, 08:44 AM Are those laserdiscs on the shelves? seaQuest 02-12-2008, 05:09 PM Good God! Couldn't he have developed a system that sounded just as good, with the speakers hidden from view? Distracting! And if he wanted his esophagus to rumble, couldn't he have gotten Universal to dig out some old Sensurround speakers? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
