I am looking at changing all my cars to brushless. I already have a brushless REVO and want to make my Corally Assassin Oval car brushless also. I wias looking at the Novak and the LRP. The novak GTB and the LRP TC Comp SPEC. I dont know which is better. I have heard the LRP burns up but is smother and i have heard the Novak is choppy but doesent burn up. What you opinion on the two? I also was wondering if the 17.5 was a little slower or a little faster than a stock 27t brushed on 6s Ni-Mh?
Also i dont know if you guys know or want to share but i have heard roumors going around that it is possible to ZAP brushless rotors. If this is true how do you do it? The same way as a brushed can?

Novak isn't choppy. Novak is really great both in performance and in customer service. I have seen the LRP not start a race without being pushed more than once. I think the setting on the esc may be the problem. I used to be a fan of the blue speedo years ago but out of box failure and not taking care of warranty claims and other issues I been on team orange for 6 years now!

sounds good guys!!!
i will be going Novak all the way!!!
Two more questions.
Is the 17.5 faster or slower than a stock 27t on 6s ni-mh?
What is the difference between the GTB Spread Speaktrum (NOV1711) and the normal novak GTB (NOV1710)? I run spektrum so which one do i want to run?

The Spread Spectrum GTB has faster switching and can only be used with the spectrum systems. I'm told the faster switching allows the ESC to operated cooler...but so far I've only run the original version of the GTB.
The 17.5 motor vs a 27t motor on 4 cells is very close. It's been years since I ran a 6 cell NiCad or Nimh in a pan car w/ a 27t motor but I'd bet they would be similar there too.
We do run the 17.5 with LIPO, but haven't run it against a 27t motor. (The 17.5/LIPO runs really close to the same speed as a 10.5/4 cell combo)

I have both the regular GTB and the spread spectrum both will work with a 2.4ghz system like Spektrum and Futaba Fast system. I didn't notice any difference in performance or heat with either. I don't no about lipo 27T vs 17.5 but the 4 cell 27t are faster early and the 17.5 is faster at the end of a run it is about the closest BL motor to 27t motor.

I use only LRP I have had only one problem with my brushless system. I sent the speedo in for repair They didn't charge me a dime, not even shipping and upgraded it to a 2007 version. I'am currently running 21.5 lipo and usualy run up front. The 2007 version has 8 throttle setting and punch setting that realy rips of the line. LRP has always been good to me and just so everyone knows they do not sponsor me nor do I know anyone that works there.

the stock 27t and 17.5 have same power but the 17.5 is 20% more efficeent so it keeps faster speeds last more laps
