What would be the best Futaba stearing servo tandem to install into either a Pro1 or WCM?

Last year I finally made the last 1/4 scale race of the year with a new car and had a pair of JR Hi torque with metal gears installed up front, they were recommended Highly. They made one qualifer and were done and NO wrecks. Tops of both cases were shreaded and no harm had come to the servo savers.
I had a old pair of S3305's installed them ran with out any problems. Just wanted to know if there were any better servos (Futaba) that is, no more mistakes.

mike i run airtronics high torque 94359z/erg-vx 200oz.of torque servos two for steering they have aluminum gears double ball bearings with aluminum heat sinks.thats all i use in these 1/4 scales i have had the same onesin my car now for about 3 or 4 years never touched them use heavy duty servo savers.i have another lightning i bought from my buddy that raced and its got the same servos in this car and they are about5 years old.i use these in all my 1/8 scale nitro buggys and 1/10 scale nitro stadium trucks for steering i have used hitecs and ive had some good luck but mostly bad luck with these but going to airtronics i have never had any problems just make sure you set your end points on your radios so the servo doesnt want to keep pushing servo arm past the point your wheels stop turning left and right.there is a few nice JR, SERVOS out with 300 oz.of torque and have a red heat sink # DS8711 and they are guaranteed to.i have not used any futaba ones but im sure they have some nice ones to .but im never switching from airtronics . good luck.harry

Mike Clark. Futaba servo's all the way. and it is wise to invest in a very stout 1/4 scale servo for throttle/Brakes. Haven't had any problems with mine.

Tower Hobbies has good price on the servo's.

The economy must be good up in north Ala with the money you guys spend on your cars. Will says he spent nearly $10,000 dollars last season on 1/4 scale and you spending $300 on three servos...WOW must be nice to have all that dough!!

I'll stick with my ole reliable 3305's at the cheap price:wave:

Several of us have slowed the servo speeds down...just the opposite.

Several of us have slowed the servo speeds down...just the opposite.well that is not what you want to do something is wrong if you slow the servos down. its like this it may fix drving issues but a fast car will turn into the corner hard but you need servos that can hold those wheels steady in the apex of the corner i could go on and on and also you can change the deadband in the servo. servo speed should only be changed on throttle servo. if you would like more info on this i can tell you why and the effects of it.. not trying to say i know it all but i do know setup and electronics... and you know this :woohoo:

And you guys tell me 1/4 is cheaper than 1/10th??

I did not spend 10k all year if you include all the BRP and my trailer.

I doubt I will spend $2600 the whole year!

BUT, I do agree. You gotta PAY to PLAY.

Go get 'em Will!

LOL, I made that comment the other day. I was told tires "last for a year", I said you are not pushing thst car hard enough.

If you go fast things are going to wear.

No such thing as "FREE SPEED".

Go get 'em Will!i spent 2000dollars all last season and bought two sets of tires all year the gas bill was a different story 6600 miles at 15mpg with gas at 2.50 3.30 a gallon!!! i didn't pay the tire bill i chased the car all year it would have been easier to buy tires and go fast.

it granted some people can throw cash at it and not be any better and some can get buy on a small budget i have been around 1/4 for a year those 4 round black things make all the diffrence just like any other racing

Thanks but I'll stick with the servo setup I have now..whatever works for you. i don't see how people drive when you turn the wheel and then the car finally turns different strokes for different folks if you would leave the speed alone it will make you a better drive all the speed slowed down is a bandaid to take the do da out but it kills a car getting in the corner and keeping up with a loose car impossible
