Honestly,when I saw it mentioned on the list of new models I didn't think I'd be interested, but after seeing the pic I'm gonna have to add that one to my shopping list.

:woohoo:I am surprised at the amount of posters on the Thing. My Dad had one in the 70's and it was a cool car. His was orange with black striping. It was loud and not real comfortable but if I had it today I would drive it all the time. I hope MB does a variant in orange. It was a great vw to go along with the beetle, notchback, squareback, fastback, 412, buses, and the ghia. We also had beetles, two buses, and a squareback.

I got one yesterday. How cool. It looks really good. Better than most MB. I compared it to the JL Thing that I have and it blows it away. Nice job Matchbox. I hope they do an orange variant. :woohoo:

YES! Then how about a camo version!

Yes, camo would be nice. I would like a special edition with the white spoke wheels that they put on some of the Things to make them more like a baja Thing.

Keep your eyes open... I found the VW Thing with and without the silver "VW" badge on the front grill today. :thumbsup:

Found two of the VW Things at a non supercenter Wal-Mart along with one of each of these: '68 Citroen (blk), Dodge Charger (green), Baja Bandit (green) and Routemaster Bus (gold). I'm also very impressed with the VW. It doesn't hurt that it's in my favorite color.

Found 2 at a Wally's today along with another gold Routemaster bus. (that makes 3)
This MB casting of the Thing is far superior to the JL casting.
