MugatoMike 02-07-2008, 10:56 PM  Wow, I could've sworn I posted here before. (Joined back in June '04) I collect ST, and SW stuff (Models, figs, etc...) For now most of my things are in storage, but I will get around to having all kinds of stuff on my workbench. I usually lurk and sign in to follow links, but I do hope to get to know everyone here and actually participate in some of the great discussions going on.

gtrumand 02-07-2008, 11:33 PM Hello fellow HobbyTalk members. I am a retiree from the Pittsburgh Pa. area and I have a variety of interests. I am primarily mechanically inclined but also enjoy wood working, welding and fabricating along with machinist work as favorite past times. Although it may seem I should be able to fix anything, well that is not the case, so that is why I am here.
Thanks for having me.
stpete 02-08-2008, 06:26 PM Hi:
My name's Nick, and I have been specializing in 1/72 US Navy Recon aircfaft-mostly multi-engined, and 1/48 US Navy single engined recon, fighter scout, torpedo and bomberaircraft. I do have a few twin engined kits. but not many. I am now researching the NC-4, which I'd like to do in 1/72. I also have a line on a US Navy "L" Class Blimp in 1/72 as well as the various Clipper Flying Boats in 1/72 that the US Navy commandeered at the start of the war. Don't know how my wife will react to that. I eventually want to do the major players in the Battle of The Atlantic in 1/72: PB4-Y1 & 2, Blimp, U-Boats, E and S Boats, 110' Subchaser and the British Corvette. The GM Built Wild ]cat and The Ford built Avenger will be in 1/48

mystonia_hattle 02-09-2008, 12:39 AM Hello to all,
The name is Ken. I'm a collector of diecast cars, (Limited Editions ) and
other vintage years, provided they are highly detailed. Concerning the new
1/24 scale 1979 Chrysler Lebaron Town and country wagon by Motormax, is
now available at WWW.Motormint.com , WWW.DiecastWholesalers.com and
can be purchased from Bettie's Attic magazine and "Things You Never Knew
Exsisted magazine. The prices range from 17.98 to 19.98 plus S&H. I used
to drive a 78 Lebaron Wagon first year they were made. Only car I ever
bought new and drove off the showroom floor. The picture shown on
motormint's websight resembles a 78 more than a 79. I ordered one. I hope
it looks like their photo when it arrives. Franklin Mint has a new model out too.
A 1/18 scale super detailed Hudson. The ragtop actually retracts and it has
real leather seats. Good hunting to all you collectors out there !
messy1 02-09-2008, 11:02 AM Good morning, I hope. It took some time for me to sign up here. But, after reading some of the comments from you guys (and gals) I thought that this was a great area to get and give help on one of my hobbies. I am 51 yrs old and have been collecting HOT WHEELS since 1967. WAIT!!! I know that the OFFICIAL release date was 1968, BUT.....I am originally from Chicago. There was a small toy store on the South/west side of the city and just before Christmas 1967, they put out these new toy cars. The aisle was not very long but there were at least 50 cases out there on the pegs The empty boxes were on a pallet at the end of the aisle. And the rest is history. I was hooked. So, here I am, 40 yrs later. And according to many of the people that see me searching the pegs and bins, STILL PLAYING WITH TOY CARS. I LOVE IT!!! Be talkin' to ya soon.
Big AL 02-09-2008, 02:04 PM My name is Big Al. i am a retired drag racer living in eastern NC.

All this stuff is new to me, so what ever info you can help me with the better.
How many lanes, How many different tracks, what ratio size cars 1/24 or 1/32 or ho.
Lap counters, Which manufacturers, etc.

Bigpete501 02-13-2008, 11:12 AM I'm a long time lurker. I've been collecting Hotwheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightinings, and any other diecast that seems cool for nine years. I never collected any diecast until I started working part-time at TRU. I wish I had started earlier in my life, like back in the 1960's, but that's past. I probably have about 2,000 cars of all types in my collection.

Pete McConnell 02-17-2008, 06:42 PM I am a technology education teacher at Merrill High School. I teach engineering, transportaion, and construction. I am interested in any and all resources for small engine manuals and I am willing to help with questions from people when I can help. I have been modeling since 1964 and I still love it! We prototype and model here. I saw a post from someone who had access to Techumseh pdf's. That is awesome. I just got my hands on some old Tech microfiche. Now all I need is a viewer. I think my students will like the info I can learn / share from your site! Thank You. I will try to learn how to use this resource.

Hi I moved to the country from Portland, Oregon 8 years ago. A city boy gone bad!
My interest is small engine repair. I was just given a walk behind rototiller. It is a Ferrari Super 72, yes from Italy. They imported about 450 of them back in the 70's. It has a Lombardini DIESEL engine.
If anyone has information about them or diesel engine repair in general, I would appreciate it. This will be my first diesel repair. All I've done so far is pressure wash it and look at it in wonder.
Thanks in advance.

Please be patient; I'm just a neophyte. But a neophyte in quest of a 1:24 die cast 1931 Ford Model A coupe. The color is green and was made by Danbury. They also made a 1931 convertible, a truck and, I believe, a van. But I need for my collection the 1931 coupe - I think some called it a "doctor's coupe".
I used to own the exact car - and I mean exact (the real car) - back in the '70s. I have been in the 1:24 collecting for some time. The only trouble is that I own two cats who decided to play with the model, and you can guess what has occurred. The cats were buried the same day in a Danbury box.
My collection consists 0f '20s, '30s and '40s cars.
Just kidding.
Regards,
Waller
