OK Gang, if your gonna' dance, you better start finding some music! As of today there is only 27 days left until the opening of the 2008 Hobby Talk Kustom Kontest! For you people from Tennessee, that's less than a month! :freak:

The entry thread will open March 1st, and you can enter cars up through March 10th. So you have a few more days then you would think, but not many!!!!

This will be our best year yet! I would hang around and chat, but I really need to get started at some point on mine own. So it's off to the workshop...see you guys soon

i've stopped on mine to do another contest also due in the same time frame. and im having problems with this other one big time. ive done cut up 5 truck and im not happy with any of them. i plan on finishing up this contest one by next sat and hopfully this other one buy feb 27. i just went down and picked up another truck i hope will work and 2 jessy james hummers for parts.
by the way the hummers have a mid frame with 2 4x4 units which is great. you just have to pop the oil pan up to release the frame after unscrewing the screws.

Well, one screw up on the body and have to start over. And it was almost where I wanted it! Oh well, glad there is time left.

Due to events happening beyond my control this has taken a back seat. Some of it you know, but some is kinda personal. I havent dropped out but if I dont post I hope everyone understands. This is a great idea and I hope it turns out better then ever.
I sort of lost the enthusiasm that I had. Please keep this an annual event.

found the olds at the flea market a couple weeks ago. the guy had a tag on it for $2.99. handed him 3 bucks and he gave me back $1.50. told me everything was half price. how sweet is that! so to make a long story short, i'm gonna give this custom thing a try.

Bob, dude we got your back. You know we all understand. But be ready for next year! I have repainted one of mine THREE times already!! What a pain!

You can post pics up till March the 10th! I will have one ready to go the opening date (March 1st) but I bet it will be the 10th befor I get the other one entered.

I was ahulin there for the first couple weeks, but i seem to be starting other customs before i finish one :lol: i'll get back on track tommorow.
