Its been a cold windy week so I ave taken the opportunity to dust off some of my cars, and used some quality time on my Mustangs -the orange one has been with me since I was 14 y.o. :)

The postgirl didnt need to ring twice this morning:) with a jiffy bag of cars for me (thankyou Scotty:thumbsup:) which includes this excellent red with red seats transitional Mustang.I can see now that the white seat red car which I painted myself lastweek is too dark a shade - so back into the paintshop it goes:cool:
2 weeks ago it was Pontiacs, now its the Mustang time of the year.......
Here are my genuine red/red with orange/white no8 Mustangs out front with the resprayed white/red and red/white in the 2nd row.I am very:thumbsup:to have found my rarest transitional so far.Hiding in the background are a genuine rw and another orange/white beater

I normally only see new Mattel Matchbox in stores twice yearly when I visit the UK.The only one that I bought on this month´s trip was the blue car shown here from the most recent UK Tesco store stock. Its great to see that Mattel made this a good copy in keeping with the spirit of the original Lesney casting. They do sit together rather well, and with a metal baseplate too what more could they do to make this collectable:thumbsup:

And heres the original Hotwheels compared to the current mainline tool.......although the Lesney 8 is wider,it is exactly the same length as the Redline...........
