I have a question,before I Buy a laptop used Iw ant to know if its worth it.
I know its an older one,I know the year.But heres what the guy loaded into it,what it it is.
Please just tell me if you thin its worth still buying,will it work for what I need it for,surfing the web,selling things on Ebay,and my banking.... ok,heres what it has in it now:

Apple Macintosh G3 PowerBook WallStreet Laptop
loaded with :
- 300MHz G3 PowerPC Processor
- 192MB RAM
- 8GB Hard Drive
- PCMCIA Wireless Airport Card
- Yo-Yo Power Adapter
- 2 Batteries
- CD-ROM Drive
- Mac OS X 10.3 'Panther' and OS 9.2
- Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac



Please post here or PM me asap. Im supposed to be looking at it today. I like the fact of it being an Apple/Mac for Virus deterrent purposes. and The price Im getting it for is very reasonable.ANY help is appreciated.Thanks in advance!!!

The only thing you would need to worry about is if your banking application would support the MacOS. Some only work on Windows computers.

Is it a good running machine? Meaning will it keep up with newer technology?

Im so used to running windows,that if you buy a 98 windows comp nowadays your not getting much.I justw ant to make sure I wont have a dinosaur on my hands

It is a pretty old unit but should be OK for web surfing, email and stuff like that. Not to be nosey but what are they wanting for it? I personally wouldn't pay any more then $100. Looking on eBay they are normally going for about $50.00 but this one does have Panther on it, a wireless card and Office so it would warrant the extra 50 bucks.

Horrible unit. Mac's OS System is a system hog, much Vista Ult. on a P3 or a Celeron D 420. Overall, it's a OK system, but I'd just save up for a better laptop.
