This past holiday season about 2 days before Christmas day. A guy pulls upto my house with a gocart in the back of his truck with a sick look on his face. He explains that he bought a gocart for his 8 year old son for christmas from a pawn shop. His son new about the gocart already, the guy went to get the engine ready for christmas morning and make sure it actually ran. Well The guy at the pawn shop told him their was no oil in the engine well the guy had forgot all about this before pouring gas in and cranking it. The guy then explains the engine cranks and runs beautiful for about 25 to 30 sec and all of a sudden it comes to a skreeching hault. Thats when he remembers the oil. He ask me if i could try and fix it before christmas eve, I accept the challenge and help him unload it. He drives off and I get right to work pulling the motor from the frame and carry it into the garage to start the long process or tearing it down. I start by getting the clutch off the PTO shaft. While pulling the clutch off the engine breaks free and is nolonger seized. So i figure that just made thigs a little eaiser, I then pull the Blower Housing off and see lots of rust on the flywheel and magnito, and see it was actually contacting the flywheel. I remove the magnito and see if the engine has any compression so i give the flywheel sharp spin and sure enough it does. Thinking to myself Their is no way it could be what i think it is i go ahead and remove the side oil sump cover and can not see a thing wrong in there. Clean as a pin, I put it all back together pour some oil in it and check the fuel put it down on the floor and give it 1 pull with the choke on and it comes to life. Just a slight bit of blue smoke I put the engine back on the gocart frame and call the guy and tell him my findings and he is shocked. I only charged him $25
