STUTZ 01-24-2008, 08:34 PM I bought this Scenicruiser last weekend at a local show. It was new in the box, but I gave it some fresh air. :p

It's a CORGI Tone.

Yep, and the show was very crowded for a January show.
wildbill63 01-25-2008, 12:26 PM Thats pretty cool lookin bus Stutz! CORGI, what scale, about the size of a matchbox or so?
davidj 01-25-2008, 12:37 PM Nice - never seen that one before!
stanmmx 01-25-2008, 02:56 PM Dear All:
Originally, this was a Lledo casting, made as a Greyhound and in other liveries. Is in 1/87 scale, but is made as a 35-footer, a non-realistic fact. GM lobbied the Transportation Department with this bus to bring 40-footers to the road, and the Scenicruiser was made in 40 foot lenghts only. Otherwise, yes, is a fantastic model and the first ready to run model in HO (there are others, but in kit form).

Thanks for the information stanmix. It's nice when you can learn about about a model that you have.
I put the Scenicruiser back in the box so it would be easy to identify at a toy show.

Here's the bottom of the box. I guess it was released in 2001.

The two Greyhounds have a roof variation. One is smooth and one is ridged.
