What will a heavyer center spring do to the car. I am running a AE silver on the center but need to raise the ride height but still have the axle as far down as possible. If i go to a Blue what will the car do

Thanks Taylor

I think that the harder center spring will make the car rotate more in the center of the turn. The Assoc. springs do not differ much between the different colors, so you probably won't notice a difference going to the blue.

If you put a spring with a rate higher by a pound or so, you will notice a bigger difference.

Also, don't use your center shock to change your ride height. If you need a ride height change then change the axle carriers.

But what if the carriers are as far down as possible?
I have the longest one in my car but still not high enough.

First, are you sure you're running the highest/lowest carrier?

Second, is your center shock too short causing the pod to be tilted down and your chassis too low?

If you are running old Associated pod plates and very small tires then I think there can be an issue. You can purchase pod plates from IRS or CRC that would take care of this.

I always experienced the same thing Dave did... Car feels to cut harder, and rotate more from initial turn-in to center.

Take a look at the CRC pod plates, dirt cheap cost for a well-machined piece. (cool looking, too)
