I am building a car to run in our new 'Outlaw Latemodel' class on capet. We run 19 turn lock timing(komodos and chameleons) with 6 cell 4200 in pan cars. What would be a good tire combination? I used to run 3 grays and a black RF when i ran stock 4 cell, but i think they may wear out too fast. Any sugguestions? was thinking maybe TM dbl blue RF and blue the rest of the way around or maybe double purple rf and dbl pink on the other three? open to sugguestions

Megasaxon, You will be better off running three pinks and a double purple right front. If you can't get it to steer enough try a purple right front.

ok i might try that, seems that with this class it will be really hard to get the cars to handle at full throttle all the time, the guys that are running now have to get out of the throttle, but the less i hafta get out of the throttle, the better i will be...

Full throttle isn't always the fastest way around the track for the entire run.

19T with 6 cell sounds a little BALLISTIC!!!
A few years ago, we ran 6 cell and 19turn pan cars on a 305' asphalt oval with capped tires. Man was that fun!!
before 4 cell got big i used to run 6 cell 19t at classic hobbies in ohio on the banked
track it was fun and fast!! are you running flat track?
3 pinks and purple all day long at the track they are running, no distinct groove flat carpet track, and way too much power for most of the drivers in the class............................another class of the week

Yea, the power is a bit ridiculous... I've tried getting my car a bit more controllable, but i don't know what I really need to change setup-wise. Most of what needs to change for me is getting more consistent driving-wise... (that goes for everyone in the class at this point I think). I mean, with all that power I don't think anyone's beaten what you put down in stock yet. What was it 57? I did 55, dunno what they did this week.
Mainly my car pushes in, then loose off. But again, I think a lot of that is my driving...knowing where to let off and hitting it every time.
The white-gray-black combo definitely wears too fast for me tho.
