This is what I started with a stock HW metrorail. I made a mold off the body and used the chrome stuff off the stock HW.

mrwillysgasser 01-23-2008, 08:43 PM Now for the chassis .It came out very cool. I started with the lifeLike Neo chassis .I was going the brass tube route .then changed my mind .I thought a neo chassis the right length to fit the body right on would be better. Make it screw on would even be better. One thing I wanted was not to cut the rear wheel wells ,that ment tubing the rear end . still have some work to do like add the braided pickup and wires to the motor. over all the chassis came out sweet.

mrwillysgasser 01-24-2008, 10:42 AM Cool pics, neat car!!! Does't really resemble the reaper though. Thanks ,for me the Reaper name is more for the feeling wile building. The time on this one was crazy .I built and rebuilt the chassis at lest 5 times .Started with brass then went to basswood then plastic with the front of a org tjet chassis to hold axle ,mounting screw and pin.Now its just about the way I want it ..I Stopped by a buddys and was showing him the little project .He asked about the traction magnets .I said they were strong .He reached over to the frig and stuck it to it nose down .It stuck then rolled right down the frig at full speed and pow hit the floor. blew it into 20 pieces .:freak: Took more time to put it back together. .This one is a keeper.

mrwillysgasser 01-24-2008, 11:17 AM Hey gasser, were did you get the snap on truck. I know somewone else that has one. just wondering if stories are the same.I picked them up from the snapon guy. I was told it was from a small screwdriver set .Later I was told snapon also used them in a set of xmas lights. I sold a bunch of the bodies on ebay a few years ago.

I am going to bring wire to the front .Then wrap desoiding braid over to the bottom . I will add pictures as soon as I can get to radio shack for some braid.
videojimmy 01-24-2008, 02:57 PM I made a simular chassis using a life like motor and jammed into a dash cheetah
