In an attempt to get some local racing going on a weekly basis, ill let some of u Northen NJ guy know, that a hobby shop has built a SMALL flat carpet track in Moonachie, at 200 Moonachie Ave right next to Teterboro aiport. I stopped in last night to check it out and it is SMALL! rightnow it is setup as a small roadcourse and basically they were running 1/14th scal and 1/18th scale cars on it past night. Im willing to say the actual racing space is 40 feet by 20 feet. Large enough for a short oval track??? He says he is willing to set the track up as an oval as long as there is enough guys to run it. He has an AMB lap counting system, so thats a go. Down side beside small track surface is that ther e is little room to pit..with a few rooms off to the side form what i can see. This is an attempt for me to see if maybe we can get a few loacl guys together to try this out... I am wanting to get back into the scene pretty bad and tis place is 20 minutes from home. this is just a thought and i am by no way promoting this place! just wanna see some feedback and maybe we can talk this guy into getting some 10th scale oval cars on there to see whats up
