I just received this piece of electronic mail from Paramount
Pictures:

Head over to the brand new official site for STAR TREK at http://www.paramount.com/startrek/ where you can check out the brand new logo from the new announcement trailer and register for updates (if you have not already). Be sure to check back on the official site early next week to see the announcement trailer, now showing in theaters nationwide in front of CLOVERFIELD.

You can also see the very first image from STAR TREK over on AOL/Moviefone at:

The picture of the new Enterprise is the one we've
already seen, but the cast photographs are new to me. What I
like is the introductions. That lets me know who these usurpers are.

I still say they should have cast Sinise as McCoy. Nothing against Urban, he looks too close in age with Pine.

As someone who's watched Trek since it was first on the air: I hate to ask but who the heck is "Winona Kirk"? The actress who plays her, Jennifer Morrison, is seriously sporty!

Kirk's mother?

Yep. Her name was never established in a canon reference (to the best of my knowledge), but it's been used in the licensed novels for years.
