What are the pos/neg of running afx/aur/tyco/jl on life like tracks if you cant find anything else

I have read somewhere in the forum that the rails in LL track are set higher than in Tyco or Tomy track and that it upsets the balance of the pickup shoes on cars other than LL, meaning the cars won't run properly because the pickup shoes fall off the rails all the time.
