This morning in the mail I received :) (from a trade) the 2 seater variation of the 13 Buggy to add to my red seats/orange seats , red exhaust/black exhaust variations so I am happy to feel that I have all that I need of this casting......I wonder why Lesney never recolored this one when real buggys came in all shades....
This particular car turned up in a beater box at an English toyfair - the dusty red seat car is my childhood example from 1974 and the blister example is one of a bunch I bought in March 2006

It was distributed through stores, but it is rare fitted with these seats intended for the 47.I was just wondering how rare,htf,vhtf,vvhtf. This is vhtf in my estimation but some folks here may have seen a whole bunch of them .....if they have I hope they will let us know! I think this is one missing from most Superfast collections

nice variation,:thumbsup: that and the 12 side vent variation are a good variations. i remember the two seater showing up on lists more than the 12 vent model. i think the 12 vent model only went as far as red and orange flower stickers. it was still thought of as a rumor in a late seventies uk matchbox club article, although it was seen in 71.
some sticker variations on this model are difficult to find but like all sticker variations it can be made fairly easily.

gathering for sale lists (before price guides) was a good way of indicating what the average price should be for a model and overal rarity too. asking price is not always sale price, unless of course you have a #11-1 green tanker.

Surprise surprise,none of mine have 12 vents. But that is a variation that I cannot spot from 1 yard away so it falls outside my collecting parameters:)
