I use the Ice charger and have been very very pleased with it. Not a bad price either.

do you plan on charging JUST lipo.. or do you have the need to charge other types of batteries? if your going just LIPO... then it'll be a bit cheaper (or more expensive depending on model).

a good all around charger is the ice or the reincarnated version by Checkpoint.

Almost every charger company has their own LIPO version.. so you can't go wrong with the suggestions in here.

I use the Hyperion ES0610i balancer/charger. It carries the same functions as the IMAX B6 but can charger at 10amps (250W) and can be linked with a an additional 610i to charge a 12S packs. The 10amp chrage rate will be critical since 6000mah car packs are already here and bigger packs are on the way. I just heard of a new technology that will make LiPO's 10x in capacity just by using a silicone nano wire anode.

I own two Ice chargers and yes they will charge LiPO but they will not balance. To upgrade your ice charger with an in-line balancer I would get the LBA-10 from Hyperion the reviwes is that the LBA-10 is the most accurate balancer on the market. It can balance stand-alone or in-line. Also the ICE will not charge the LiFePO4 cells or Lead-Acid cells or 3.0V li-ion batteries. With the future power source of 1:12 and 1:10 pan cars uncertian , I wanted LiFePO4 option should the hobby opt for the lower voltage, more safe battery in pan cars.

FYI -- you really don't need a balancer. You can simply charge each cell individually on the Orion packs.
