I have been told that the rules will be 13.5 and 4 cells. I would assume wings and back cutout would be fine. Also I know paragon is allowed for traction compound.

Just a quick note for anybody that is planning to attend that has never been there. Make sure you bring a table and extension cord for pits. I made the mistake of not having this stuff the time that I was there. Fortunately they were able to get me setup. Great group of guys to race with.

Sorry guys I was consumed with the purchase of a KSG Gen 2 on here and ended up taking it hard on the deal, kinda forgot about the post. Thank you for keeping up Bob Rhodes. As Bob said you will need to bring a pit table and extension cord! All info about rules are on the link I posted. Right now we are using Paragon and Jack the gripper but you can use what you want. There is also a sign-up page on the site. Please sign up if you are coming , also to let us know how many people will be attending. Race will be sponsored by Gary Deem of Deem Motors who is a legend Late-mode; driver in our area. There is also a cash-pot forming that should make the win alot sweeter. Also if any knows or has a KSG Gen 2 for sale let me know!!!! Thank you

Brad

I have known Gary since 1994 or so. He is now retired from racing and Marshalls at Heston Speedway in Huntington PA!

Hey folks I had a great time running with you last night. My drive home was uneventful............thanks to who ever made AMP over there at mountan dew. I think I figured out the corner trouble I was having. Can we sat diff to tight ??? The rear was as I put it"going posi" and spinning the rears. Here's hoping the weather works with us for the 8th so I and 2 or more of my buddies can come as well. OH and Chuck I was kidding with the "game over" comment in the post race interview. I was just having fun with it. I do look forward to coming back and running again.

Man you guys get the video and audio to your site fast. I just watched the A from last night and realized my car was not that bad but still needs tuning. I'de also like to thank Bob for giving me the "plug" in his post race interview. It was good to hear and see his car get a good run.

Yes 4600's are legal. No LiPo's yet, though it might be a consideration for next year!

Gixxerman here's looking towards my next trip there. I'll remember my roller measuring tape and we'll see what the driveline and the center line is. Unless someone knows what they are.

If I had to take a guess I would say that the track is in the 140-150ft range. I might be off but just a ballpark figure.

Thanks guys. I am coming down from Erie for the championship race on the 16th. I am going to be running stock and hopefully 13.5 I currently do not have a 13.5 I am running a 17.5 with a lipo up here in a C.O.T. Spec class. I am going to switch this over for the race. What is everyone rolling out at down there?

TBRC1
01-28-2008, 07:28 PM
I was at a 70 or 72 millimeter rollout and that was a good bit high. If you need to convert MM to inch is...... MM divided by 25.4 = inch. And the other way for inch to MM is............ inch x 25.4 = MM. Hope this helps. Hope to see you there I and hopefully the rest of the team will be there from Baltimore MD. Just look for the TBRC Racing shirts

Ryan, depends on if I get my 13.5 stuff in time, plus I need to firgure out what the body rules are for 13.5. I am planning on running 10.5 at the BRL Race at Steel City in March, so it would be nice if there were people there to run that but we'll see. I have new sticks on the way so that won't be a problem. you can email me at jpatch@railpower.com with what your plans were and we can go from there.

:( cool thanks!

The track will be open for practice Friday evening. Let me know what time you are coming up and I'll make sure it's open. We usually don't get there until 6pm!! There is a Econo Lodge right in front of the track that should be well suited! It use to be clean but I cannot guarantee anything, there is a Chinese Buffet attached to it!!! Let me know what's up!

We are still working with the roll-out thing, but right now somewhere around 65mm seems to be working! We just went brushless a couple of weeks ago!

JeffPatch29 what body rules are you inquiring about?

We (TRS) are very excited for this night to come. We hope the turnout to be as good as it seems and looking very forward to meeting and racing with all of you!!!!

Anyone with any questions let me know, I will try to help the best I can.
SHAKE AND BAKE..............YEAH THAT JUST HAPPENED

13.5, are they the same as the BRL. I.E. back of the body can't be cut out, not wing, ect.

Jeff,
13.5 is not following BRL rules for this race so body rules do not apply.

Yeah Jeff no body rules, I think that most of us have the bodies cut out in the back. None of us are running the extra wing, just the spoiler that comes with the body!

I would say no extra window wings since none of the TRS guys have or are running them. If it's a problem I'm sure we could work something out! The track is fast but I don't see an advantage to running them.

Regarding the Nascar 13.5 Body Rules -
We typically employ a hybrid rule for our club races, that is we cut the backs of the body out but do not run wings. It
was our intent to run the Oval Championships under the same guidelines. If this is a deal-breaker for anyone
please do not let it deter you from attending the race. We will deal with it on race day once we compare lap times.
We will then make a determination of running a separate class.

This race is setup up to have two BIG Nascar classes (13.5 & Brushed) and we would prefer to keep it that way;
however we will be flexible if the situation arises.

It should be noted that finding a setup w/o using a wing has never been a problem.

Once more PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU FROM OUR RACE. WE WILL ACCOMODATE!!!!!!!!

Completley agree, but realize this.....I think only a handfull of guys were wanting to run the wings, The majority were not. Rather to call everyone we recieved a response from we decided to maybe form a seperate class for the wing runners, which would take away from one big class! Next year we will have a SET rule in place. All we were trying to do was to accomodate everyone while not detering anyone from coming. This is our first run at a big race of this nature and we hope it to be very sucessfull. Thank you Bob Rhodes for your ongoing support and thank you to everyone who has responded to this thread.
