We are planning a 1 race and done deal at Newberrys Hobby on January 19th for off road electric.

Newberrys use to run a dirt oval and have recently switched back to all off road. They are having problems getting people back in the door. The hope is this will end up being a 1 race for sure, and hopefully more.

Me and a few others are planning this race to hopefully get the ball rolling.

It is a run what you bring event as long as it is electric. We will figure out a way to make it work for all. The bottom line for this race is to have fun.

Newberrys has a website www.newberryshobby.com. Newberrys is a HEATED indoor off road track and it is a great place to run off road. It is located in Orion, illinois. Please see website for specifics. Not updated every day, but forum has good up to date info.

racing is to start at 5PM on Saturday.

We have enough committed now to hold a race, so anyone inerested would be more than welcome to show up with anything they have electric and just make the whole event that much more fun.

The fees are 10 dollars to race.

I will keep updated as we get closer to the 19th.

My bad, I got rushed for work, and fat fingered a few keys. Newberrys Hobby is in Orion, ILLinois, which if I had not messed up the web site name anyone interested would have been able to easily find out directions.

They have pictures posted of the current track layout I believe in the Nitro forum. We have a thread started for this race in the electric forum.

The cost is a definite $10 to race. Nothing else to report other than to say Thank You to nayslayer, and dido41 for correcting my typos.

Everything is still a go for the 19th. We have enough committed now to race, but the more the merrier I always say. Newberrys is a top notch off road facility for indoor winter racing. They stock parts galore for most vehicles. They have READY TO RUNS in stock, so if you are looking to get into this hobby all you would have to do is show up with your checkbook, and you would be RTR. Great Hobby! Great People!
