Ok so I live in Crownsville, or Millersville Maryland. I just need to find a place to buy regular styrofoam. I went to Micheals and all they had was that bubble styrofoam. So where can I buy some?

I went to a company that makes water ski docks.

Lowes or Home Depot is where most everybody get foam from

OK, I have to ask, what are you going to use the foam for? Just nosy or thinking that you might want a better or different foam.

We used Woodland Scenics white styrofoam in the R&D shop at Estes-Cox. Its a good quality foam, much better than Home Depot wall insulation. It has an average density of about 2.5 lbs/sq.in. It sculpts amazingly well with a very fine bead. It also works great with hot-wire wing cutting.

You can find Woodland Scenics at many hobby stores or online. Its a major brand of model railroad materials.

I've used the blue and pink insulation foam from the home improvement stores. I also scored some high-density foam 2" x 4"'s from work that was used in place of wood ones but not for construction purposes just to make that clear in case somebody was wondering.
All cut well with my hot wire cutter.
