swtour 01-14-2008, 05:12 PM What does this new shape do to the progressive spring rate of the spring?
(Softer initial hit w/ a stiffer feel in the middle?)
thanks for the springs rob they work great!

crisis641 01-15-2008, 06:27 PM Rob, Do you have any graphs showing the spring rates for these springs compared to a standard side spring? I'd be interested to see that data.
Thanks
MURDOCKRC 01-15-2008, 11:51 PM Hi there Mike. Here is a link that will take you directly to the Windtunnel spring chart for all springs, their rates & colors

FLYING5 01-16-2008, 12:28 AM Hey rob i've got a question about the front barrel springs there basicly like the v-hives but are they progressive or constant rate?
crisis641 01-16-2008, 11:57 AM Rob, What i really wanted to see is a graph plotted out where you have the amount of compression on one axis and the springs resistance to compression on the other. I want to see how progressive these springs are.
MURDOCKRC 01-16-2008, 06:02 PM FLYING5: The barrells and the "V" Hives are a progressive type spring.

trailranger 01-22-2008, 08:43 PM Rob, since these are progessive rate springs, what are their rates? Your chart just list one number. What is the Buzz for 1:12 racers?
MURDOCKRC 01-22-2008, 11:02 PM Where the V hives shine on a 1/12th car for center shock use is through the Apex of a corner. They give the car a whole new concept in bite/rotation/lauch and still turn the corner effortlessly. Find the right combo of spring to oil ratio and you will be amazed at the lauch off the apex you get

FLYING5 01-23-2008, 02:51 PM hey ovalguy1 did you run the same rate or something different?
burbs 01-24-2008, 05:49 AM The springs seem to be listed as single pound springs.. Is the number with them the starting number? Ie do the get harder as they compress? Or i the pound rating the hardest number and they start off softer? They are listed as 6,8,10,12,ect. Are the rates of progression enough to make the rates cross.. IE an 8lb spring maxes at 10 ect?
ovalguy1 01-24-2008, 09:29 AM I ran a #12 Green on the left and a #10 Red on the right. just a hair softer than I norm run.
MURDOCKRC 01-24-2008, 11:26 PM BURBS: Anchient Wintunnel secret.
They work that is all I can say.
