My brother has always been a garage sale hound. He calls me today and says, "hey this guy has a bunch of old slot cars. I stop by the money machine and head out with visions of that black vibrator Hot Rod or maybe a Torino which I really like. Well, among many newer tycos and playing mantis cars sits this one. I bought eight cars at 5.00 apiece. Here is my favorite.

Good eye Joe. I also noticed that the newer versions have color around side window openings. I had to research it myself being such a bright color. It doesn't have any markings anywhere. The other car that I found is an Amrac Datsun number 88 Bell car. Fun to find them.

You should put up pics of the entire haul. Garage sale finds are always good to see.

Try craigslist too. I put up a few 'buying slots' ads and scored twice. I spent a total of $40 and wound up with like 16 cars. I got an aurora cop car with the rescue tampos that look more like an ambulance, a near mint red tyco nomad, glo in the dark tyco 40 ford and 57 chevy, a small box of axles, pickups and other parts in addition to the other cars that I sold on ebay and recovered more that what I paid for both lots even after keeping those 4 cars.

I dream of finding some nice cars at garage sales but I have neither the time nor the money to spend on gas to hit them. And when I say "nice", I'm not hoping for perfect items or anything worth $100. I'd be ecstatic finding some magna-trac chassis' that need rebuilding!

Always happy though for a fellow slotter that can score those garage sale finds!

I'll post the entire haul when I get my defunct batteries to charge g-jeeper. Glad to hear from you. Most are modern jl and an Amrac Datsun that is very nice for $5. I'l get back soon. There are more but that was my budget for the day.

Ok grungerockjeepe, you asked for it you got it, all minus tjet truck axle and tires. I sell Jeepe parts now so gimme a call for factory stuff.

Man, nice datsun! I scored one of those in an fleabay lot only to find out it had some window post damage. I still resold it for like $25 right back in the same place. You say you sell jeep parts? Like what? I might need some parts for the console on my '00 Wrangler.

Right on. I may give you a call once mine gets back. The bodyshop has had it for a month and a half after I plowed it into a wall after hitting black ice. No major damage just a bunch of little stuff they have to check out. But some Memphis criminal thugs popped my console one time too many when i lived there and I need to replace the lock so Ill prolly get to you on that one.
