View Full Version : Video game style 1/4 scale?? 6victor6 01-12-2008, 03:18 PM I just stumbled across this.. Anyone seen this yet? Interesting. http://www.racingvisions.com/ jbell31 01-12-2008, 04:12 PM I had heard about this a few years ago and Rusty was promoting it. They did a spot on NASCAR with MiniFastCar and Rusty, but I havent seen much since then. I thought it was really going to take off. 6victor6 01-12-2008, 04:30 PM huh.. guess I'm outta the loop.. Thought it was new. rybred33 01-12-2008, 08:50 PM One of the rc car publications did an article on this a few yrs. ago. I think it was r/c car, but I may be mistaken. Regardless, it is definetly pretty cool, I would try it out!!! hopper 01-12-2008, 09:43 PM We built a bunch of tenth scale cars for a system similar to this about ten years ago. It didn't have a screen, but the radios were inside a console so that you actually used a steering wheel and gas and brake to drive them. A guy had a portable track made of plywood that he carried around to carnivals. We painted the bodies and then put another clear body over it so that the bodies would last longer. They still got the CRAP beat out of them!!! People would line up to drive the things!!!! You're right people were lined up to drive them . Crazy thing was we were at a 1/10 scale race in the same place and it was really hard to convince people we were not part of that guys little track deal . FMurry8995 01-16-2008, 03:44 AM One year at Royal Oak GM had a track set up with some electric cars. They had VUE bodies on them and were a promotional deal. Free to drive in a heat race so I got in line. Ran the race in reverse as the cars had forward and reverse. Well as the other kids I was racing against did not know how to drive it was an easy win. Line was too long to stand in twice. Fo-OWA Fred LetsRace 01-16-2008, 10:52 AM seen this awhile back too. i think they are using the sidewinder chassis . vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
