I've never cared for the sand vans, thought they looked kinda cartoonish. But I love the dune buggys. So I bought a new one and converted it. Here are the results.

What I did on my Purple buggy conversion was cut off the rear engine and sanded it down a bit so it tucks in nicely. Then get a small round file and groove it to fit over the rear body post.
Love those Moon Disc rims and they match the chrome dome drivers head well also. :) Love the buggies man and yours looks Great hojoe! Yours reminds me of those COX gas powered buggies from the 70s...those are sooooooooooo cool looking.
Love that chrome roll bar also. Have taken wire and bent them up like yours on my Aurora ones. Hmmmmmmmmmmm just need to drill holes now. That chrome roll bar is way cooler than a plain wire...hmmmmmmmmmm white plastistuc with wire inside...Thanks for the idea. Always get sparks in the brain from others here on HT.
I have a box of these bodies and plan on painting them up....soon as Nebraska warms up...oh dang....Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Nice work guy. The alligator driver is awesome.
My camera battery got overcharged so my camera won't work now, but the AFX 512 motor fits perfect on the back end of the buggy too.

Jim,
512 motor would be one bad arse buggy power plant. I was also considering the JL Baja Bug pullback motor (the one that comes with the body not, the pullback motor itself.) LOL as a possibility but, have not tried fitment yet.
