I'm interested in purchasing the proper colors used in the dark yellow/dark red German WWII camouflage. I'm going to build the Leopold railway gun and I'd like to get close as I can. I'd prefer the paint was water based acrylic, but solvent based isn't out of the question.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

It's been about 20 years since I worked on German armor kits and built dioramas, but if I remember correctly, the camo schemes consisted of;
From 1939-1940, the color was strictly Panzer Grey.
From 1941 thru early 1943, it was Panzer Grey with splotches of Graugrun (which is a medum olive green/grey).
For post mid-1943, use Mustard Yellow & German Red-Brown with splotches of medium olive Green (Graugrun).
BUT, to verify those, I recommend visiting one of the many Panzer-related websites available. Good luck!

Thanks for he info. I was hoping there might be a brand of hobby paint with the colors mixed specifically for this purpose, or maybe someone who is currently building WWII armor might have recommended colors from certain manufacturers. I'll do some more research on the Panzer colors. So far I've found Floquil numbers 505111 and 505112. They look close, but the dark yellow looks a bit darker than I'd like (on the website).
