The McLaren F1 has not been mentioned for a long while :( - I guess you won't be doing that car now? Deane lenny 01-07-2008, 06:15 PM What else you got coming this year Dan? Any new chassis? Not before summer... Too many projects, not enough time. The McLaren F1 has not been mentioned for a long while :( - I guess you won't be doing that car now? Deane Not for the T-Jet, possibly for the Turbo or SRT chassis. The sample is at the factory. It's just a matter of priorities... TG It'll happen... hopefully around March of this year... grungerockjeepe 01-09-2008, 11:27 PM Dan--I have a suggestion for you: How about doing som repros of all the variations of AFX wheels. The ansen sprints and turbines come to mind first, but the stockers and T/As have fans also. Plus Id like to see an improved version of the classic AFX 5-spokes. The fronts look good the way they are, but its always bothered me how they have a much deeper offset than the rears. Maybe reproing the rears from the supermagnatractions to complete that set would work out since they have a much deeper look. Also, since Tyco never had a decent looking set of rims, and since you plan on doing your own version of the HP-7 eventually, why not start out right and adapt the AFX stuff to fit the tyco-size axles. It does work, since Ive stuck AFX 5 spokes on a widepan 440X-2 and both HP-7 and HP-2 (the newer version) with just a few mods. It works perfectly and looks hot. What do the rest of you guys think about this? krazcustoms 01-10-2008, 02:14 AM I think it's an excellent idea. There are lots of wheels for the T-Jets, but the AFX-size market is growing too and we could all use a wider variety of wheels for them. dlw 01-10-2008, 11:08 AM Perhaps AW would have you make the rims for their cars.... A slotcar guy can probably make straighter rims than a random person who probably has no interest in slots. grungerockjeepe 01-10-2008, 06:20 PM Perhaps AW would have you make the rims for their cars.... A slotcar guy can probably make straighter rims than a random person who probably has no interest in slots. Thats a good idea. Im sure that'd work out a lot better than what theyre doing now. The rolling stock on the AW cars seems to be the only real dissapointment so far. And as to the wheels for T-jet comment, this would be good for the T-jet guys too since what works for AFX stuff is usable for you guys. But it doesnt usually go the other way around. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
