Who sez dirt tires are larger? Do you mean wider RR on a dirt sprint?

well my pavement rr is like 18 3/4" and my dirt tire is 20" are you running the same gear ratios for pavement and dirt if the tracks are the same drive line.basicly what i'm asking is how much will 1" of rollout change the gear ratio thanks brad

Brad...20" seems kinda big, our biggest RR is 19" I think....most are 18 3/4

put a 13/78 or 80 for camarillo and go from there

I'd like to help ya but mine would only be speculation at this point.
What I do know is that in other forms of raceing (1/10,1/8and full scale dirt,asphlt)I have always ran a little taller gear on dirt due to tire spin.Which leads me to think that one inch differance might just be rite.It will most likely come down to track conds.

I all ways have us This for gearing. 1 tooth more on the rear gear for a 1/4 in. bigger tire and 1 tooth less for a 1/4 in smaller tire. But thats on asphault. Try that it may work on dirt to. I will be trying in here in about two weeks when I get my new sprint.

Well me and the new sprint are in the same city just not same address.

thanks all i knew you'd come thru for me yeah the checker board tires i got from todd are 20"rr and 19 1/4 lr and im running a 78 rear so i'll run the 14 on there and see how it goes Brad
