Just getting into 1/4 scale. I have JR radios from 1/10 scale XR2i am 27&75 mhz and a XS3PRO synthesized radio FM. Has anyone used these on 1/4 scale with any luck? I am looking at the spektrum DX2? will it work?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for everything yesterday Fred M.

Spectrum would be a great choice. I run a 3PK with spectrum. It works great.

Yes they will work we used lessor radios back before the PCM radios hit the market. Run a ground wire from the motor to the chassis to prevent any chance of radio interferance.

The motor being bolted to the chassis, isn't that grounding it? or is there a place on the motor I need to come off of?

Thanks Joey

it's suppose to be but with the powder coating on the plates it may not ground properly so what we would do was take a 16g wire and attach it to the motor and then loosen a bolt on the chassis and attach the wire to the chassis as well. Just added insurance and it did stop radio glitching. With newer radis it's not needed but then again it is added ins regardless.

We have a local racer that uses the XS3 PRO 75mhz in his sprint (both dirt & pavement) with no problems.

You may consider getting a fail safe to go with your radio. The Spectrums have one in the radio itself.
