I bought this yesterday at K-MART. I'm not much of a Matchbox collector. I'm not sure if it's new, but it's new to me.

It is a new one yes. There are 2 different shades on this one. The darker of the 2 will be found in Batch B. With the Unimog in orange and the Citroen in black. Great job on this one Michael Heralda and Ryu Asada.

To me it looks like a repaint of this previously issued casting without the hood bulge.Either way it is nicer than the Hotwheels, without the tooling seam lines that show on the Hotwheels, and more curve, less slab to the roof, without the extra width scale wise on the HW.Same company same car, but 2 different quality levels of tooling, I like my Matchbox best :) especially as it is in almost the same shade color originally released by Lesney back in 68 or 69!

I like the last Johnny Retro series Cougar JL that IS the same color as my Lesney.
A little added bit of nostalgia from childhood was probably no accident on the part of JL :thumbsup:
