I am completely new to RCs and bought a used E-maxx to mess around the yard with. It came witha TQ3 radio, 2 v-maxx batts, 2 speed maxx batts both i think are 2400mah (still don't know what mah means) It also came with a Dynamite Dual-e charger. How much run time should i be able to expect? After reading a ton of posts about charging and decharging, i am extremely confused and I am starting to with i didn't get the truck at all. All i want to do is to play around the yard with my little girl, no racing or anything like that. How long do i need to charge the batts, my charger has a 15 min setting and 30 min setting. Do you guys have any advice for a guy who just want to piddle. Thanks

mah is runtime, the higher the number, the longer runtime you get. the highest batts out right now are 4600's or so, it changes every other week. you need a good dual peak charger. duratrax makes one, its not so good, and mrc makes a superbrain 977. great charger, you can keep it for just about life. it will do just about any battery out there. you just push a button and it stops when the battery is done. im gonna guess your batts should take about a 1/2 hour to charge if they are 2400's. and ill also guess your gonna get about 10-15 minutes playing time with fully charged batts. make sure you try to run the truck fully dead each time too. you dont need to do any fancy discharge, just hold the truck in the air and run it till the tires stop spinning. dont get bummed, r/c's are alotta fun !!! how old is your little girl ?? you need to get her a mini truck, and you can chase her around the yard with it and try to crush her truck !! the super brain will charge the mini batts too !!
