AJS 01-03-2008, 11:12 AM Yes they are good for brushless racing, but not good for lipo, unless you put a lipo cutoff switch in the system, so the voltage doesn't go too low. TeamGoodwrench 01-03-2008, 12:41 PM I'm running one with LiPo and a 21.5 motor -- it's been running perfectly so far ... And yes -- like AJ said, you should put a cut-off on it. I don't have one on mine, but then I make sure I recharge the pack after each 4-min run so I don't really have to worry about the voltage getting too low. It always comes off the track with 7.7 V or more. kgb 01-03-2008, 07:55 PM mine was a day old and it blew up,was running 13.5 with a 4200,motor temp was 130 speedo temp was well over 300 burnt my fingers trying to turn it off.at my local track three more blew, one was another brand new one the other two were already sent back for repairs and blewup again, they are junk, buy a novak 6 cell gtb they have a lipo cutoff built in,i have a 4 cell gtb also and run it it 10.5 and it does'nt even get warm. omnis85 01-03-2008, 08:13 PM I have an issue with my LRP and is BRAND NEW OUT OF BOX, but want to make sure if it isnt just operator error, when all set up it does function but it seems like after throttle it goes directly into brake or auto brake. I checked the modes and settings and it isnt in 3 or 4 which according to the instructions would be auto brake, anyone have an idea? I installed to the T per instructions. kgb 01-03-2008, 08:50 PM don't run it,that's what mine did just send it back siggy99x 01-03-2008, 10:48 PM I have actually been thinking of getting an xbr till the new tekins come out. omnis85 01-03-2008, 10:51 PM This makes no sense to me, I pull full throttle it acts fine but when you let off the throttle it locks up. I checked the mode and it appears that it doesnt save the settings, is there a way to save the settings or does it automaticaly do it. It appears its stuck in lipo mode, when I go to check the settings. THIS SUCKS!!!!!!! kgb 01-03-2008, 11:58 PM it supposed to save the sttings automatically kevinm 01-04-2008, 07:06 PM Mine did something similar (the original Sphere version), acted like full brakes whenever I let off the throttle. Before sending it back (again), I tried the "reset to factory defaults" procedure, and that corrected it. I'm NOT sure if the Sphere Comp software works the same, but for the original model the reset procedure is: "With the transmitter switched on, hold the SET button pressed while you switch on the speed control. This action returns the unit to the LRP works default settings." If this works, you'll then have to go through the normal throttle setup process. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
