The CCRC annual meeting will be held Saturday 1/12/07 at the Pizza Hut in Clanton, AL. Start time will be 1:30pm.

All 2008 membership applications will be taken at the conclusion of the meeting.

Thanks Jim D.think you will be fine with any one not a 100% on that but almost buba runs the 22 but he does the cat scheme and he only raced 2 times at lpr last year we had fun today great seeing all the guys and doing some bench racing from the past year they gave me a hard time as i know they would but if they did not it would not be any fun the 08 package looks great wished i could have had one or two more sunday races but the majority did not so i will try and make as many as i can cant wait for it to warm up so we can have some fun i want to thank the club for the very nice championship trophys my wife let me put it any were i wanted " she did not really have a choice LOL " but she did ask how much it cost to get it and i honestly could not remember becase i threw all the invoces from wcm,pro-1 and BRP away before she got home from work any way gona be a great season and looking forward to racing with you jim and everybody else in a few weeks

Been there done that . Funny thing is , come to find out she really isn't concerned how much I spend so long as the bills are paid and the heat and lights don't get turned off . Fact is the Mrs. is glad I have this hobby instead of the watering hole hop or chasing two legged dears . Congrats on your championship Will , more will follow .

hello,my name is marshall....i last raced at lagoon in early 2000,i came down down with the birmingham crowd after thunder road closed in pleasant grove...what i need to know is what are the rules in 1oth scale electric...like what chassis,tires,motors,etc i can run.i still have all my stuff,its in good shape,but older stuff....and also i need some suggestions on what is best or what is crap....me and wife are interested in getting back into this hobby...

thanks marshall hey marshall dont know what to tell you on electric last time i ran it was 1 year ago and that it goes out of date and changes so fast i have not looked in to it alot of the birmingham crowd has switched to 1/4 scale it would be nice to have electric down at the track but last year i think 4 guys showed up to run it one weekend and it wasnt ran the rest of the year but if 3 show up its a class

so what does it take to get in the 1/4 scale class....get you a used car would be the best way to get started i did a hole lot with my ebay special this year you live in B'ham there are a few guys you could contact to get a peak Tim McCowan,Mike Clark, and Jerry Evans the 1/4 bug bites hard the 1st time i seen them was boyd hughes race in 06 which i ran 1/10th electric and have been hooked ever since in my oppion you get your moneys worth and realism unlike any other form of R/C oval

I have two used WCM cars for sale.

Will is rite about that 1/4 scale bug. I Think it's the Boyd hughes race also as I spectated this past race.they were haveing way to much fun for me to stand there and just watch.

i plan on helping out a lot at the track so will everybody else you get a car you will have all the info and help you will need to get were you need to be

I fully understand the rule as far as standing on just anything. But for those of us that the wall is just built way to high for there should be a solution.

I would say that if you want to stand on something, it would need to be approved by the race director. Also that racer would be responsible for bringing it to the race and clearing it from the drivers stand when need be and at the end of the race day.

thanks marshallits the only class that shows up on regular basis you can get used from 500 to 1200 the higher the newer in most cases the buy in is really no more than 10th the up keep is less and the fun factor is threw the roof

There will be something built to accomondate us folks that need the extra height on the driverstand. We have discussed this already.

i pay 5 dollar a gallon for fuel i know nitro is more you hit anything car might be totalled i might bend a hime joint or have my pride hurt not saying they are indestructible but they are tough tires unless you race like i did this year one set of 200 hundred dollar tires can last 2 years

On a average you will spend around $500 to $750 a year on a Quarter Scale to race all season. I spent that in 4 to 6 month on a 1/8 scale dirt car. Plus its a blast when you have a good group of driver together. Are you ready Scott? I have new and Used.

Ok on tires. I know I have gotten 1000 laps on a RR and could still run it at a club race or a qualifier, not a 200 lapper or anything.

How many laps are the tires good for. I know, I know, it depends on setup. But lets just say we are that good and do not ruin a tire on a bad setup.

Does J&M need a driver?? :D

A J&M sticker would go great on the Race trailer.

Rightsides about 6 to 8 races Leftsides don't know I'm still running them 30 +.

One thing I do like is the compounds are mandated. That eliminates the amount of different tires you must keep. I would not mind if 10th scale went to that, but I want them marked like the 1/4's. Handout tires at a race are for the birds!!

Yeah but the bodies are not a real fair comparison, I do not think. I mean you guys really do not replace them like we do. But I guess if you run one all season and we run about 6-7 of them in a season it is about even.

I usually change my RR from C-5 to 410C as the real heat sets in. This helps me carry my tires over a season or two. Like Jeff, my left sides wil last two or more seasons.
