This is from the auction series. One of my favorite 1:1 cars.
I think the front end slopes down too much and its missing the correct wheels, but not a bad casting.
Nice job on replicating the engine.
It should look good in solid red like most of these cars were.

I looked at your pix before I read what you wrote and I thought the same thing -
the front clip is definately too slopey!
Other than that it looks pretty good, but not what I would call excellent. A few other things look off ever so slightly to me. Again, GL can do better.

I agree that this a bad attempt. The front slopes; the rear slopes. The wheels are too big. The vinyl top looks too "padded". It looks OK for an after market addition to a Cadillac Sedan DeVille or for a hearse but it looks wrong on a Chevelle. I too think GL is getting sloppy. They have people who seem to focus very well on what has been missing from the market but they can do a more careful job of executing the job. I wouldn't buy that model as illustrated.

The car looks like it was in an accident and the frame tweaked at the front door.
It would have looked a lot better with stock style rims.

front wheels are huge and in the 1st pic it looks like the top of the fender is caved in,I'll pass on this one,I wonder if some other company is producing these with all the qc issues compared to the older issues which were a lot nicer,I hope GL gets it together before interest starts dropping off

It makes me wonder about the design and engineering prosess of model making
and how they can get some right on the money and others...not so much.

Some of the latest Corvettes did not look so hot either. JL had the same problem of having hit and misses. Just compare the quality of the 69 Olds 442 with the Pinto or 69 Cougar.

The Cragers look fine on the car . I doubt Greenlight can make factory correct wheels for every car ... I just hope the 'yellow' whitewalls are an error too ....

Hello everyone,

To address a few points about this car:

- This is a recreation of an exact car sold at Barrett-Jackson. So the vinyl roof and the gold line tires are what was used on the car as it was sold. See the attached images.

- Many of you have pointed out the rims are not factory. This is true, we don't have an exact wheel match but we felt this was a good fit for this car. GreenLight does not have an exact rim for every single car as this would ultimately force us to raise the price on our models. However we do try and make as many factory correct rims as possible.

As for the rest of the comments, keep 'em coming. We are always trying to make these items better and better. Thanks for all of your support.

Happy New Years,

- Matt

I think the rear overhang looks too short. The proportions just look off and something seems a bit off on the front end, maybe too pointed at the center of the grille...yet...it looks as though the hood does not follow the contours of the grille below it. Looks like someone swapped the flatter faced 64 hood in place of a 65. It isn't a terrible casting as it sits, yet the old RC2 65 Chevelle looks a heck of a lot better in all aspects.

Oh wow, I knew there was something wrong with the front end and just couln't put my finger on it.
That's exactly it - too pointed when you look at pics of this car along with the rear over hang too.
The whole entire car is just off.

I picked one up at a Target this evening.

Yes, I noticed the slight "slope" but I'd have to say IMO: "So what?" The car overall looks fantastic and like a Chevelle! A nice, nice addition to my ever-growing GM collection!
