-where are the walking away from you on the track???? In the corners, out of the corners, strait-away??? could be gearing!!!

-Tire size you have to gear to it smaller tire bigger spur, I run a roll out class on a 88' runline track

-with new tires I have to run a smaller spur to get the rip out and down the straits I will run anywhere from a 118spur to 122 mabey a 124 with smaller tires, but gearing depends on motor rpm. max rollout in my class is 1.40000000 depending on witch motor I Run I roll out anywhere from a 1.34-1.40

-wire size stay with what is suggested by the esc manf.

-watch your ride height, to be as low as allowed is not always best pan cars need some air flowing under them

-make sure nothing is in a bind

-also reset your speed control from time to time I do mine at least once a mounth

Hope this helps, I just went through a 2-1/2 weeks with a speed issue
basicaly I went through the whole car rebuilt front end and everything, not sure what the exact issue was but any issue with motor, remote, recv, esc was eleminated at the track over the 2-1/2 weeks
last night it was a screamer again I was pulling in on a pro guy that ran with us.

any ?'s let me know

how are you figureing your rollout at 1.40 ? thats like super, super low. in 13.5 on a 160ish sfoot track, we run 3.50's. in 17.5 we roll at about 4.00. 10.5 nastruck with spec packs is also about 3.50's

the track I run at is only 88' run line, I run a pro sportsman class max rollout of 1.40, we all have to run chrome can, purple endbell 27t motors, are brushless class is a 17.5 class and most are rolling out around 3.00, stock guys with any 27turn w/ locked 24deg timing roll out any were 1.50 and up

put it this way pro class unlimited roll out track record is 95-96, pro-sportsman with a 1.40000 max roll out track record 93

ok the class that im running is a Spec CoT class we have to run CoT body with trinity spec motor 21 turn an spec pacs with either 21 or 22 pion with a 81 spur
the track is a 45 to 50
i know on my motor i have to swap my brushes to F
so how would i fgre tire size on this spur pion set up what sthe roll out im rather new to this so any help would be ideal

Man - that's hard to read!

ok the class that im running is a Spec CoT class
(we have to run CoT body with a Trinity Spec motor 21 turn, and Spec Packs.
21 or 22 tooth pinion with a 81 tooth spur gear.

the track is a 45 to 50 Huh? Is this how long the straight-a-ways are?

i know on my motor i have to swap my brushes to F (You've changed to "F" Brushes)

How would I figure tire size on this? You need to measure them with a set of calipers, and would see something like 2.30 inches

spur pion set up what sthe roll out im rather new to this so any help would be ideal

For rollout:

Pinion/Spur Gear=
21/81 = 0.2592592

x Tire Diameter

0.2592592 x 2.30 = 0.5962961

x pi (3.1416)

0.5962961 x 3.1416 = 1.873 (Roll Out)

Confused Yet? LOL

21 or 22 pin with a 81 spur gear, is that what you are required or thats just what you have????
sounds like if thats what you are required it would be crazy for a spec class because you would waist more money on tires than anything else. you would be shaving down tires to get a rollout, any track would be crazy to do that but i gess its one way to sell tires and make money!!!! gears are cheeper and last a lot longer

I have 2 cars I run one track a week and I go threw a set of tires in about 6weeks and i only true them once every two weeks and do as little as i can $84 every six weeks is not fun on a budget

we have two spec classes at the track I run:

Nastruck witch is gm3 motor w/ spec brush, no drilling or timing the brushes, 116 or 120 spur gear and a max rollout of 1.40000 and Nastruck body or Nascar Body w/ 1.20000 max rollout

Pro Sportsman- Chrome can, Purple Endbell motor, Nascar Body max rollout 1.40000

A simple formula for rollout is tire diam(in) x 3.146 x pinion / spur

what track do you race at? and do they have a website? I would like to take a look at it and see if they have your class rules posted so I can better assist you,

also don't be afraid to talk to other local racers, even the pro guys most are very helpful and will be glad to do so
