This casting always made me wonder if Lesney were inspired by the cartoon ´Wacky Races´ - one of my favourites back when this came out :)

i liked the mod vehicles in the speed kings range more the miniatures. a speed kings thread might be a nice idea
the big banger and pi-eyed piper without the overblown engines i think would have looked really sharp.
the # 34 vantastic with and without engine is a good example, although the engine isn’t that big.

the tyre fryer was a little overboard, i did like the hell raiser and the woosh and push was nice.
the yellow on yellow woosh and push at the time was a heavily sought after model, i don’t know if that is reflected at all in the current pricing.
