My Dads 6 Hp Tecumseh Horizontal Engine, In A 624 Toro Snowblower And It Suddenly Pulls Quite Hard. Does An Engine Like This Have A De-compression Relief.
I Am Going To Go And Look At It, To Get Serial Nos And So Forth.
The Snow Blower Is Probably 20 Years Old. It Still Starts And Runs Great And Works Fine Too, But Just Seems To Pull Much Harder Than It Used To.

yes they do have a compression release, it is standard on all 4-cycle engines. Take the starter out (if it has one) and make sure that it is returning back the way it should.

And if he doesn't change the oil very often, that will make the compression release stick and not work properly
