The car was badged as a Lexus SC300/400 in the US.

It looks like a nicely detailed model. Not my favorite car in real life. Never liked the rounded looks.

I agree. I've been a huge fan of Lexus since day one, but the SC300/400 was a surprising disappointment to me from a design standpoint. For such a high price, it just seemed a little dull.

I've alway thought it looked like an enlarged, yet somewhat watered-down, version of Nissan's earlier, rather beautiful 240SX.

I've seen a few 1:1 SCs lately being driven by smiling younger folks; I'm sure that this a really wonderful car to own through the used car market.

This does appear to be a finely made model, Jinx, in a striking color that is far more attractive than any of the 1:1s I've seen. Thanks for the pic.

I just wish that Toyota had been a little more creative in the styling department!!

Thanks - I've always thought the design was OK, having seen a couple of personal imports to the UK, albeit they were rhd Toyota Soarers. I think, the Soarer was rebadged as a Lexus in the USA to add another model to the marque - all that had been available was the Lexus LS400, which was also badged as a Toyota (Celsior, I think) in Japan.
