Quite likely to be the same tooling - didn't Ixo rise from the ashes of Vitesse & Ixo make the models for many of the Altaya releases.

Having said that, the detailing on the Altaya seems a little cruder than that of the Vitesse - worn mould?

When released by Vitesse years ago the 220SE price was about $25 in the USA. What does it cost from Altaya? I don't know as we can not get them in the USA, but I bet the new one is much cheaper. I noticed the headlights; the Atlaya looks like a French car; the Vitesse looks proper for the rest of Europe. - ranchero -

Man, those both look great in the pix!

I'm noticing a few slight differences. The pics would lead me to blieve they are different castings.
Mostly around the leading edges of the the front fenders by the headlights
and the rear quarters by the tailights. The grills look like they sit at slightly different angles too...maybe.

Happy New Year to all of you !

As far as I know, Ixo boss Bernard Peres, a French guy, was the boss of Vitesse Portugal...

The Ixo model (Altaya) costs me 12.95 euros ($19.00)
