anyone interested inrunning on a 400+' run line dirt oval in southern california with our 1/4 scale cars please checkout roadrunnersrc.com and reply to the post i started in the dirt oval section the track is 400'+ run line with 15' wide turns and 13-15' wide straightaways. it is located in camarillo just outside of ventura at freedom park i have runonthis track with my 1/10 scale stuff and it was smooth and FAST should be sweet for the sprints Brad :thumbsup: this could be huge for socal post up!!

We recieved a Call from them Yesterday and it Sounds Great.....

They want to get 1/4 scale going there and need the cars to show up for it to work...... :thumbsup:

The Camarillo track is really pretty nice, but 1/4scale Sprints... I don't think the track could contain them (unless they are rebuilding the wall.)

It would be fun to watch an exhibition with them though and see how it works out.

I think the Plan is an Exhibition for now.......

Have heard from several people 4 cars maybe 5 max at a time and alot of give and take....

when i talked to vince he said they got there about 3 and work on the track water pack it etc and they started racing around 5 or 6 that needs to be confirmed 100% but thats what he said if i remember correctly so far how many cars do we have including me, six?

and yes this will be just a demo because the walls will definitly(sp) NOT hold a flipping sprinter!!! but it will be fun

heres a copy of the email i just sent to rc car magazine requesting they come shoot the demo please support our cause and email them too asking them to come out it would be great for the track and the sport aaron@hi-torque.com

I just got some more info on the Dirt Track in Santa Ana....


lastest news....santa ana blvd. and fuller st. is the new track location as for now said by the city...im working as hard as i can about the issue to open ASAP but i have to be patient ....the city has issues to solve regarding the track also...but one thing foresure it is going to happen....

guys until now i havent really heard much from the roadrunners other than talking to vince and him saying it would be okay for us to come out with a few cars and play and i think bob has probably heard the same thing. i have put in a request to the club president to call me to chat. this track has a LONG history but its never really took off for some reason. Its not really set-up to run quarter scale but it might be worth there wild to beef it up alittle so it would be. I'm moving in july so this isnt going to benefit me as much as it might benefit you guys if it happens to work out. the only reason i called these guys was because i knew it was a big track and i just wanted to run my car, which i havent got to do yet!!! i'm new to the sport and not a promoter just a fan of the sport of r/c. tom or bob or anyone that has more experiance than me if you guys would like to take this over with the club i wouldnt have my feelings hurt one bit you are much more knowledgable about what you need . with that said i am going to continue with this until the 19th hopefully jarrod calls and we can put something together for upcoming events for our 1/4 scale association Tom you can call me if you would like to discuss this event and it would be awesome if you promoted it in the newsletter i'm just not sure i'm the best contact but am willing to do anything I can to get 1/4 scale racing just as popular as 1/10 or 1/8 feel free to call me @ 310 489 8822 that also goes for anyone who would like to chime in on the matter thanks Brad

I read on one of the threads the Camarillo guys have on RCTech that they aren't racing DO this week due to a dirt oval series race up at the Full Throttle track in Bakersfield.

If you guys are still planning - you may want to contact someone from the RoadRunners...
