I am relatively new to the sport/hobby. An old timer told me to clean my bearings in an untrasonic jewelry cleaner. IT vibrates, etc. Up until now, I have just cleaned them with motor spray.
Anyone use one odf these, what do I use for cleaning solution?
Thanks

what type of rc vehicle?
motor spray has always worked fine for me...but bearings today can be had NEW so cheap...a lot of us don't hardly ever clean them...instead we just replace them.
Boca Bearings has a bargin deal where you can get almost ANY rc related bearing for .99c each.

I use a bearing blaster from RPM with motor spray. Lefhander RC should have them in stock. I use to use the ultrasonic cleaner but I had the same problem you have what do I use in it I tried brake cleaner but it was to strong I tryed putting motor spray in it and it evaporated too fast. The bearing blaster works great and yes if you want to be fast you should clean your bearings and oil them after every day of racing.

I use a rpm bearing blaster then put them in sonic cleaner with orange blast, Then I let them dry and soak them in a good bearing oil for a couple of days

I Use denatured Alcohol (Walmart,Home Depot, etc) in my ultrasonic cleaner. I leave them in for about an hour, take them out and put a drop of light oil on both sides.

Normally I just spray them out with either a motor cleaner or automotive brake cleaner then reoil. When doing a complete rebuild all the bearings are replaced. The old ones are put into an empty paint jar and allowed to soak and shakened using a small hobby paint shaker. The old ones are checked over and those that are fine are used as replacements just in case I have a failure at the track. But in most instances I buy bulk bearings and have a new set already to go.

I used to count how many minutes I could get the rear axle to spin without any tires on it! Tires equal more mass, and the more mass you have on any round object! The longer it will spin, making the bearings look really good. I like to do it the hard way no weight very light, the longer the rotation with no weight the better my bearings are! So I use rpm bearing blaster first. Spray the hell out of them with what ever I can find in a can! I have alot of cans laying around from Reedy Perfomance plus3, Niftech motor spray, Epic 888 motor spray, this stuff is the best because the can is the biggest and holds the most spray stuff:) After you spray the bearing out with motor spray, I like to use a Bic-fine point pen, roller style! I'm cheap its a cheap pen fits the rear bearings perfectly! And you can even use it to put bearings back into rear carriers or take them out if tight! Spray the bearing or bearings out on the pen with air, hold finger on the end of pen, or the bearing will fly off! And then your searching high and low for it on the floor! I hate dropping stuff on the carpet, and your on your hands and knees looking for it like an idiot! Test the spin, it stops right away crap bearing, I put the crap bearings in the crap bearing holder! Never to use again... once you find a good one! And it spins for awhile! Oil it with a thin oil, a thick oil tends to stop the rotation very quickly! On ceramics or standard bearings! I use Zubak speed juice, or the blue stuff! Zubak speed lube yellow or gold stuff is thicker genearally bearing lube, but the bearing stops faster in my spin test using it! I think I told Zubak that at the snow birds, but he probably didn't really care, any how! If you use the blue stuff, you have to oil alot more often! More that any other lube, but you should see less rolling restence! I check my front bearings every couple of rounds, and rears when ever I change either pinion gear or check rear stagger! Hope this helps guys happy bearings!
