View Full Version : Indoor/Outdoor Offroad Tracks in the IN OH KY Tristate Region
Jake S 12-26-2007, 09:17 AM Plan to be moving to Madison IN, in February and just doing alittle research on both indoor and outdoor offroad tracks in the region. I mostly race 2wd Truck (mod/stock) and 2wd Buggy (mod/stock), but would be interested in running pretty much anything but Oval (dirt or carpet).
Would not mind Touring Car racing, but would need to have 13.5 and lipo be legal, which i run lipo and brushless in my T4 and my B4, hard-case orion packs.
Looking for tracks around 100 miles from Madison, preferably much less.
Hoosier Hobbies Raceway in Linton, IN which is ~110 miles away (2hrs) Sunday 1pm
Planet RC Raceway in Lawrence, In which is ~110 miles away (2hrs) Saturday 6pm
I am used to traveling about 75 miles (1.5hrs) every weekend to race offroad, so this isn't too bad.
wondering if there is anything else in Cincinnati OH or Louisville KY because Madison is about in the middle of these two, and alittle closer.
1armed1 12-26-2007, 09:35 AM There is Summit in FT Wayne, onroad in the winter and offroad in the summer.
Right down the road from Sumit is The Track, a new place that just opened that is indoor offroad.
Stateline Rc in Fremount, In wich is offroad and clay oval.
1armed1 12-26-2007, 09:38 AM Sorry, I just realised you are waaay south.
There is a few nitro tracks down close to there, one in or close to Cincinati, Jcg wich is south of Indy somewhere and I think there is one in north eastern Kentucky.
Jake S 12-26-2007, 09:39 AM Fort Wayne is just to far at 225 Miles, and 4 Hours of drive time.
Stateline in Fremont is also way to far 275 Miles and 4.5 Hours of drive time.
Looking for tracks in Southern IN, Northern KY, Western OH regions.
***Websites or Forum links for tracks would be great!***
1armed1 12-26-2007, 09:45 AM Jake,
Mach51 on tech could probably help you out.
He's from down around there somewhere and knows more about what is going on in that area.

CRCRC in Columbus Oh the original indoor offroad track in the midwest
I want to say Coyote in northern Ky but not real sure
Some sites have a track locator you may want to search
Jake S 12-27-2007, 07:58 PM argh! lol anyone from southern in????
Michael#81 12-27-2007, 08:09 PM P&T Hobby is in Mitchell, IN, It is about and hour from Lousville. The website is www.pnthobby.com
There is also another track in Southern Indiana that is called REO Raceway. The website for them is www.reoraceway.com
That is a couple of them in Southern Indiana that I know of.
Jake S 12-28-2007, 12:20 AM with p&t the no lipo really hurts, not even allowing the hard cased packs is rough, i don't have any 6-cell packs since i have converted to 2-cell packs :)
reo looks nice tho. farther then the other two tracks i listed....
P&T is 80 miles, but still shows as taking 2 hours (must be non-main rodes)
RCDawg83 01-01-2008, 11:57 PM Terre Haute has an indoor carpet oval and races on Sundays at 1PM. Doors open up around 9. 48 pits. Location is Joe's Hobby Barn. Local club is Short Circuit RC club. We race 1/10 stock stadium trucks, 13.5 4 cell pan cars, stock touring car, rubber tire Nastruck (stock motor, touring car chassis), and legends. Summer time we race outside - also Sunday afternoons. We are about 2 hours north of Evansville.
Linton is building a new facility. They have a 60x60 carpet track and a dirt track about twice that big. All inside, and will race year round. They are a little slow getting details on their website, but the new facility is for real - I've seen it. Linton is a little closer to Evansville than Terre Haute. Maybe a little over an hour north on 41, almost to Sullivan, and then 15 minutes east. Not sure what classes they will race, or what days, but they say they are going to try to work around Terre Haute and Indy clubs. They have raced Sundays in the past, but that may change, according to the owner.
