I went to K-Mart and was doing some last minute Xmas shopping and stopped by the diecast aisle to check out what was new. There was probably 20 Greenlight cars on the peg but didn't see anything "Green" and there wasn't much in the way of JLs so I headed for the check out. I passed by one of the endcaps and noticed a bunch of Corvette Collection Greenlight cars on the pegs. I looked through and saw a green car but was unsure what it was at first because I've never seen a "Green Machine" up close before. It's the '78 Silver Anniversary Edition Corvette. I still wasn't sure what I was holding until I saw another '78 Silver Ann. Ed. in silver which must be the regular color. I am pretty jazzed to say the least. It's getting very hard these days to find anything on the pegs that everyone considers HTF. Especially with all the scalpers and store stockers grabbing all the really good stuff. Anyway it has #025 on the base.

Nice one. Some day I will find a GM Vette on the pegs. :p

because there is a very good possibility that the Pace Car Corvette that I saw had green rims! It pays to keep up on this stuff. There must have been two cases on those pegs. I'm still a Johnny fan and will always be but these Green Machines are pretty cool too. I'm going to look through the selection of Vettes and pick up one of the '58 to '62 models (I'm not quite sure what years are available) to add to my JL collection of Vette's from the same time. I really like that Vette as it brings back memories from when I was a kid and a guy on my block had a red one w/white scoops that I actually got to ride around in a couple times.
