the new q3 is out now, has the same footprint of the q1 and q2. Novak GTX or GTS is a good speedo,
q3 and gtx are around 140-160
gts is around 80,
buy them at lefthander-rc
if you ever plan to run brushless get the GTB because you can run both BL and Brushed motors off it which is a very nice feature, the esc is just a larger footprint than most.
I have had lrp SR for awhile although they are a large esc they are realy good esc's. 129 or so

What are the features besides size and weight that make a good speedo for stock?

CDW35 is right all the way... LRP service and support is something less than ZERO.

I have used several the Q1 tru Q3, Novak GTX Tekin G11 Pro, FX Pro as well as the KoPropo model. Tekin is easiest to set up, LRP and Novak second for space limitations the Tekin or Q3. Now with the local track going mostly brushless I used the NOvak GTB 4cell brushless ESC with either the 17.5, 13.5 or 10.5 brushless motor. To run brushed motors just setup esc to brushed motor setup and disconnect the sensor wire from esc, the three wires and then solder to negative motor tab. For 6cell use you want the standard GTB brushless esc, it's adviseable that if you use a personal transponder in 4cell use, buy the Novak 4cell transponder booster module.
