Howdy!
Do any of you guys have the red #56 Fiat 1500 from the Gift Pack?
Or I don't think they're as rare but how about the green #68 Mercedes Coach?
I'd sure love to see pix or any comments you all might have about either one.
Rarity???......Value$?$?$?
Or what about any 1:1 sightings of these vehicles from you non-USAers???
They're both extreemly handsome vehicles in my opinion.
Thanks fellow vintage dIeCaSt fReAkS!i!i!i! :freak:

I have only ever seen these toys in these colors online. But I have seen some real Fiat 1500s and very similar Mercedes minicoaches when I was a child . The gift set special color cars are HTF,especially the yellow 41 Ford GT, and much easier to find in the USA & Canada where about 50% of all Lesney production ended up.The green 68 Coach was the first production run which mostly went Stateside, although green boxes are common here with orange coaches inside!

Would you say that far less green coaches were produced than the orange ones?

Yes.One short run of the greens (under 100,000 peices guesstimate with a likely hundreds rather than thousands of survivors)

Probably had a less than usual survivor rate because of the vulnerable plastic roof I bet.
Mine from childhood is cracked - and I was carefull! (for a 5 yr old)

the packaging is a little rough but it is original. :)
i’ll try and take a good picture of the upper half variation on the fiat and post them later.

sometimes when you see a rare model for sale it doesn’t seem real, if it’s real it went right into a collection that was not used in the back yard. ;)

Looks like the orange Lotus in that pic too! That must be from a Sears catalog, huh?

And yeah, I'd love a better shot of that Fiat! Looks like the box is still wrapped in plastic,
so problee no chance of opening it huh.
If'n you don't want to open it, sell it to me and I'l open it! :D
Thanks Mountain! Nice pix.

Wow! Very nice pieces. That catalogue page is wild too!

I have a red Fiat but it lacks the luggage. I paid a couple bucks for it. I know somebody who sold a green Mercedes coach with box for a considerable sum of money, but still affordable compared to some very rare Matchbox prices I have seen quoted before.

Here are the models requested. I have them in their respective sets but I also have them as singles and keep them in vintage dealer displays as shown. Last is the Yellow Ford GT as mentioned.

Interesting. I have the same dealer display only without the red trim.
What a great collection you have there - and thanks for the pix of the Coach and the Fiat!!!!

Tone - if there's any chance you might sell that....:)
