I know someone who has a set of cars each commemorating a year of nascar history. IIRC the 1998 was a 4th gen TransAm with a red, white and blue paint scheme.
Any idea as to how many were made?

These are the Racing Champions 50 Years Of NASCAR series. They made at least 5000 of each and up to 12,000 of the later model years. About 5% of each year was also produce in a gold tone finish. I have a complete set of 50 of the regular finish and 37 of the 50 gold tone finish. I have seen them selling on Ebay for as little as 99 cents each.
