It's nice, but it could have been AWESOME with the fender badge on roll bar.

Hello SD64 and Stutz,

I just wanted to clear these points up. We will have an accurate roll bar, fender badge and also the hood pins as well. This image is just an early pre-production sample. The roll bar is still being revised by the mold department.

We are just trying to get new product up on our website quickly to keep everyone informed. Sometimes that means posting early samples that aren't 100% correct. Hopefully these don't deter you as we always try to get it all done correctly for our loyal collectors.

Happy holidays to you all from GreenLight,

Matt

WOW! Someone from GL actually answers questions! JL would never do that. Will the orange Shelby Convt. have a rollbar also?

Hi Northern Muscle,

The orange custom will also have the roll bar to match the stock version.

- Happy Holidays.

Ward isn't the only one. I'll tell you what, I usually stick to the "stock" versions of these cars because I enjoy their authenticity.... but that green racing stang is so cool I'll be picking one os those up as well.

While we are on the topic of racing versions...

I responded to another thread in the JL section regarding a Tasca Super Boss Mustang. I appluad JL for the thought of even bringing this car to 1:64 scale. The only problem is they are using their 1970 casting and not a 1969. JL does a great 1970 Mustang, but GL does a great 1969 casting. It would be awesome if GL could get the licensing to do the Tasca Superboss in the correct year. I'd love to add a couple of those to my collection.

Oh no.... where is the fender badge? This was a highly anticipated piece for me. Bummer.

Thanks to Milezone's Toys for the excellent photo: www.milezone.com

I just checked my other two GL Shelby GT's. The black one (photo courtesy of www.milezone.com) from the Barrett Jackson series has the fender badge:

However, the white Shelby GT from the Cruise in 5 Pack does not have the fender badge.

So, out of three Shelby GT models, only one has the fender badge. Sorry, but I don't understand how an inconsistent error like this occurs. It is frustrating to say the least.
