Here is a 1/24 scale Ertl kit model 1939 Chevy Coupe that I got at WallyMart about four or five years ago. For a mere three bucks, I couldn't pass it by.

Even though it has sealed doors and trunk, I am drawn to the stance, the wheels, slicks and the big blown mill. The model has some bulk to it and displays well, especially with other street and hot rods.

To improve the looks of the grille, I blackwashed it. Additional detailing is in the works. The darkened windows were stock as well as the two-tone paint job. The one thing that's disappointing are the headlight lenses being chrome. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

In my mind's eye, I can see this 'oldie' smoking the "competition"!
